C is For A Collection of Curiosities

We arrived at the third if our twenty six themed dates feeling a little more confidant about our creativity.  Even though it was March, it remained very cold.  We knew this would be another inside date.  Our first stop was as a consignment store.  This particular store carries high quality items and is always a joy to look around.  We found many nice things but didn’t find much that we felt that we needed.

The next stop was at the Candle Factory.  This business has occupied their beautiful, century old building since 1971. I often forget to stop in here for unique gifts.  From the website, I found an interesting thought about candles, “Over the past thousand years the flame of the candle transcended its role as lighting to become a symbol of many of mankind’s higher values: the personal qualities of truth, wisdom, knowledge, learning, remembrance, hope, love, peace and faith; and community qualities of commemoration, unity, liberty and freedom.”  It makes me realize that our trip to this location holds more meaning than just a casual shopping experience.  Alan bought me a gift of a beautiful Calla Lily candleholder to represent my flower for this date.  It will become a treasure to add to my collection of home decor. We also found a couple of nice gifts for others.

Because all dates should include chocolate, our next destination was to a store called Chocolate Exotica. We definately boosted the economy in this location!  We found lots of handmade chocolates to add to our sons Easter baskets. Then we filled our own cravings by purchasing all the C themed confections we could find…caramels, cherry and champagne filled chocolates were our favorites.  We couldn’t wait until after dinner to try our candy so we sat in the car and filled our cravings!

Next, we headed to our favorite coffee house for a cappachino and a cuddle.

Our curiosity finally satisfied, our last stop was for dinner at Chili’s.  Alan always chooses chicken at this location, I however broke our C themed date and ordered pizza!
