{"id":1368,"date":"2021-10-25T13:00:45","date_gmt":"2021-10-25T17:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/abcexplorers.com\/?p=1368"},"modified":"2021-10-25T13:00:45","modified_gmt":"2021-10-25T17:00:45","slug":"x-is-for-xing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abcexplorers.com\/index.php\/2021\/10\/25\/x-is-for-xing\/","title":{"rendered":"X is for Xing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/abcexplorers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/X.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1369\" src=\"http:\/\/abcexplorers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/X-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Because the ABC game is part Scavenger Hunt, we make up our own rules as we go along.\u00a0 On our ABC Adventure to Grayling, Gaylord and Petoskey, we were nearing the completion of our alphabet.\u00a0 As usual, we didn&#8217;t have an X.\u00a0 We racked our brains for the X words we knew.\u00a0 Often we resort to using the X in words like eXcite or eXcellent.\u00a0 Today, in the pouring rain, we saw a sign, which matched our letter.<\/p>\n<p>An ABC Adventure doesn&#8217;t have to be difficult, our only rules (for ourselves) are to have fun, to discover and to explore the world purposefully.<\/p>\n<p>As I watched my husband get drenched to get this photo, I was having fun.\u00a0 It makes me laugh to think of the antics we get up to.<\/p>\n<p>I &#8220;discovered&#8221; we were under surveillance because there was a security camera on the caboose parked alongside this railroad crossing.\u00a0 I wonder if it left them scratching their heads to observe us.<\/p>\n<p>I had found the caboose, now turned restaurant, in my online study of the area.
